Key Responsibilities
1. Underwriting Expertise
Lead and manage underwriting activities across Non-Motor insurance business.
Evaluate complex and high-value risks and ensure appropriate underwriting decisions.
2. Risk Assessment & Analysis
Assess risk exposures, policy terms, sum insured, and overall risk complexity.
Analyze financial, technical, and business information to determine risk acceptability.
3. Underwriting Guidelines & Compliance
Ensure underwriting decisions are aligned with company policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor adherence to underwriting standards and risk management practices.
4. Market Research & Analysis
Track market trends, competitor practices, and developments in the Non-Motor insurance segment.
Identify opportunities and risks arising from changing market conditions.
5. Training & Mentorship
Guide, train, and mentor underwriting teams.
Develop technical and analytical capabilities within the team.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate effectively with other departments and internal stakeholders.
Support business teams in resolving complex underwriting and risk-related matters.
7. Portfolio Management
Manage and monitor the Non-Motor underwriting portfolio.
Review portfolio performance, risk concentration, profitability, and exposure.
Handle large and complex risks involving high sums insured.
