About the role:
Roundglass Creative Studio is seeking a Creative Lead - Video with a passion for the development sector. This role is integral to crafting and leading impactful storytelling videos focused on advocacy, fundraising, and social impact specifically for Roundglass Foundation initiatives. You’ll be responsible for creating videos that effectively convey the Foundation’s mission and work to diverse audiences, including donors, partners, and the public, while producing a variety of multimedia content that resonates emotionally and inspires action.
What you’ll do:
Creative Direction
•Develop videos specifically for Roundglass Foundation's development sector initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand and mission-driven goals.
•Lead the creative direction for advocacy and fundraising narratives, creating compelling content that fosters engagement and builds support.
•Conduct and manage Pre-Production Meetings (PPMs) with stakeholders to align project objectives, creative direction, and target outcomes.
•Oversee the creation of a strong, consistent brand vision and identity in all video content, especially in high-impact, purpose-driven stories.
•Select and manage top creative talent, including writers, directors, and visual artists, to execute projects that reflect the Foundation’s core values and mission.
•Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate cohesive visual design, videography, and photography across all advocacy and fundraising content.
Storytelling and Content Production
•Conceptualize and produce compelling narratives that communicate the Foundation’s social impact, including stories of change, donor-focused narratives, and partner engagement pieces.
•Lead the production of advocacy and fundraising films, ensuring they are emotionally resonant, strategically aligned, and meet the high standards of the Foundation’s brand.
•Manage the creation of multimedia content across platforms (videos, social campaigns, interactive media) to support fundraising and advocacy efforts, ensuring quality and adherence to brand guidelines.
Team Leadership
•Work closely with the Studio Lead for effective outcomes, fostering a supportive environment for team creativity.
•Manage a team of creatives, offering feedback to encourage growth and collaboration, ensuring high standards are consistently met
Cross-functional Collaboration
•Partner with development, marketing, editorial, and communications teams to understand and translate their goals into impactful content.
•Lead collaborative brainstorming sessions to align on project objectives, incorporating insights from various teams for holistic content strategies.
Trend Analysis
•Stay attuned to trends in storytelling, as well as emerging tools and best practices in advocacy content creation.
•Innovate and elevate Roundglass Foundation’s video outputs by continuously exploring new styles and treatments to reach and inspire audiences
Skills & Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in a Senior Creative Director or equivalent role, ideally with an creative agency or media house background focused on the development sector, social impact, or nonprofit advocacy.
• Proven experience creating impactful advocacy and fundraising films, with a deep understanding of the nuances in branded and engaging storytelling.
• Strong track record of managing creative talents and external partners, especially within cause-driven and social impact contexts.
• Expertise in leading PPMs and aligning creative and production efforts with stakeholder expectations for high-stakes, mission-driven content.
• Skilled in developing and implementing production workflows to maximize efficiency and project quality.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach and a collaborative, mission-focused mindset.
