About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Java Lead with strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems.
The ideal candidate will have 12–15 years of experience, with a strong balance of technical depth and team leadership. This role requires active involvement in coding, system design, and production support, along with mentoring a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Development
- Design and develop scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and enhance microservices-based architectures
- Contribute actively to coding, debugging, and performance optimization
Architecture & Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery from design to production
- Create and review HLD/LLD documents
- Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of systems
System Engineering
- Design REST APIs and distributed systems
- Work on database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL)
- Implement caching and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Ensure security and fault tolerance
Cloud & DevOps
- Work with AWS / Azure / GCP
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Collaborate on automation and infrastructure improvements
Operational Excellence
- Handle production issues, incident management, and RCA
- Ensure system availability and adherence to SLAs/SLOs
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Conduct code reviews and design discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps)
- Drive engineering best practices and standards
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience
- 10–15 years of software development experience
- Proven experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
- Experience in leading and mentoring teams
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in:
- Core Java (Collections, Multithreading)
- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
- Microservices architecture
- Experience with:
- REST APIs and distributed systems
- SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and caching (Redis)
Tools & Cloud
- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes (good to have)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Git
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
Good to Have
- Experience in high-scale or product environments
- Exposure to performance tuning and system optimization
- Knowledge of design patterns / DDD
- Domain experience in telecom, OTT, fintech, or large-scale systems
Qualification:
- Degree / Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent
