Job Title: Node.js Technical Architect
Experience : 12–15 Years
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Node.js Technical Architect to design and lead scalable, cloud-native applications. The role involves defining architecture, leading engineering teams, driving technical decisions, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise-grade SaaS products.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Design microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks.
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical governance.
- Drive containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Design and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
- Pro-active to continuously improve processes, find ways to speed up releases while improving quality.
- Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership.
- Ensure system performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
- Leverage AI both for speeding development, and integrating into products.
- Expert in making trade-offs calls, and ability to decide what is acceptable technical debt.
- Monitor systems and team processes.
Required Skills
- 10+ years in software development with 3+ years in architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- Expertise in API design, system integration, caching opportunities and scalable architecture patterns.
- Experience leading engineering teams and large-scale software projects.
- Demonstrate ability to create and architecture products from scratch as well as to understand and evolve a large code base and take care of accumulated technical debt.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with monorepos.
- Knowledge of SAFe Agile or Scrum frameworks.
- Experience in multi-tenant SaaS platforms and high-volume transaction systems.
- Experience with other languages than JS (Java, python, etc.)
- Experience with setting up development processes, KPI management
