About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic Technology & Transformation practice in Pune. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications based on Node.js. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that leverage cloud technologies and modern architectural patterns such as microservices and serverless computing. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should have 6 to 9 years of relevant experience in software development, with a strong focus on Node.js and GCP. Certifications in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP are advantageous. Proven experience in developing scalable applications, proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, and familiarity with DevOps practices are essential. Additionally, knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
As a Node.js Developer at Deloitte, your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust, scalable backend services using Node.js within cloud environments. You will write effective unit tests and utilize testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, Jasmine, Chai, or Sinon to ensure code quality. Collaborating with frontend developers, data engineers, and solution architects, you will contribute to the development of microservices and event-driven architectures, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications. You will also participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and implement best practices in software development, including adherence to design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding standards.
In addition, you will work closely with DevOps teams to facilitate continuous integration and delivery pipelines, containerize applications using Docker, and deploy on Kubernetes clusters. Your role will involve troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, performing static code reviews, and maintaining documentation for technical solutions. Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovative solutions is also part of your responsibilities.
