Role Description This is a full-time, on-site NOC Senior Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The NOC Senior Engineer will monitor and manage network infrastructure and critical systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. Daily responsibilities include reviewing alerts and incidents, performing in-depth troubleshooting, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and escalating issues as needed to meet service-level objectives. The role involves proactively identifying potential risks, tuning monitoring tools, and implementing improvements to enhance stability and network security. The NOC Senior Engineer will also mentor junior team members, maintain accurate documentation, and provide technical guidance during planned maintenance and unplanned outages.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) environments, including real-time monitoring, incident response, and shift-based operations.
- Proficiency in Network Administration and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Advanced Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for network, system, and connectivity issues in production environments.
- Practical understanding of Network Security principles, best practices, and tools to protect data and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring platforms, ticketing systems, and log analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, Network+, or similar) are highly beneficial.
