Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled NOC Manager to lead and manage Network Operations Center activities, ensuring uninterrupted network performance, operational excellence, and high service availability. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in IP/MPLS networks, multi-vendor routing and switching technologies, network security, and team management. The role requires proactive monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement of network infrastructure and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Operations & Monitoring
- Ensure proactive monitoring and early issue detection to maintain uninterrupted network performance and service availability.
- Minimize downtime and operational impact through effective incident management and rapid issue resolution.
- Monitor and optimize network, IT infrastructure, and related services for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical network incidents.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the NOC team to achieve operational excellence and service delivery goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders for seamless operations.
- Drive team performance through process improvements, technical guidance, and operational best practices.
Network Infrastructure & Troubleshooting
- Handle troubleshooting of Metro-E and WAN networks.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot MPLS/IP networks deployed on multi-vendor platforms.
- Provide L2/L3 support for IP/Data-related network issues.
- Design and implement IP/MPLS network infrastructure for internal and external customers.
- Configure and support Customer IP/MPLS-VPN solutions.
Operations & Process Management
- Perform ORT/ATP activities for newly deployed equipment to ensure operational readiness and service acceptance.
- Streamline operational workflows to improve NOC efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Ensure network resources align with current and future business requirements.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure network security standards and compliance requirements are maintained.
- Protect network systems from potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities to ensure rapid recovery during emergencies.
Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain transparent and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding network performance, incidents, and service status.
- Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for management review.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience (10+ years) with network hardware including:
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- Wireless network systems and wireless controllers
Hands-on experience with:
- Nokia 7750
- MikroTik
- Cisco
- Huawei routing and switching platforms
Expertise in multi-vendor technology environments.
Certifications:
- CCNA (Mandatory)
- CCNP – Routing & Switching (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or related field.
- Experience working in ISP, Telecom, or Enterprise Network environments will be preferred.
