Job Description
Are you a motivated individual with a passion for ensuring network stability and performance? We are seeking a dedicated NOC L1 Engineer with a strong understanding of RACI principles to join our team in this permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic Network Operations Center environment and contribute to critical infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network infrastructure performance and availability using various network monitoring tools.
- Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify root causes.
- Document all network events, incidents, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system, following established procedures.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate L2/L3 support teams, providing detailed information and context.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of network-related problems.
- Utilize log analysis techniques to investigate network anomalies and proactively identify potential issues.
- Adhere to defined operational procedures, including the application of RACI matrices for task ownership and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Education
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar IT support role.
Skills & Languages
- Proficiency in network monitoring and alert management.
- Strong understanding of incident management processes and ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network issues using tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with SNMP, TCP/IP, and common network protocols.
- Experience with log analysis for troubleshooting purposes.
- Working knowledge of RACI matrices and their application in team environments.
- Solid understanding of database fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Urdu.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA).
- Experience with specific network monitoring platforms or ITSM tools.
