Job Description: We are looking for an IT professional responsible for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting network systems and infrastructure. Should ensure the stability and optimal performance of an organization's network by identifying and resolving issues such as outages, slowdowns, and security threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network infrastructure using network monitoring dashboards and alerting systems.
- Identify, analyse, and respond to network alerts and system alarms in real time.
- Perform first-level diagnostics and troubleshooting for issues such as:
- Link failures, Device unreachable alerts, High bandwidth utilization, Interface errors, Network latency or packet loss, Log, track, and update incidents in the ITSM/ticketing system with accurate timestamps, troubleshooting details, and resolution steps.
- Follow standard incident triage procedures and escalate issues to L2/L3 engineers when required.
- Acknowledge alerts and incidents within defined SLA timelines.
- Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity metrics.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity tests, routing checks, interface verification, and log analysis.
- Coordinate with internal support teams, data centre teams, and vendors during incident resolution.
- Maintain shift logs, incident reports, and proper handover documentation between shifts.
- Assist in scheduled maintenance windows, patching activities, and change implementations.
- Support incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
- Ensure network uptime and service continuity for critical infrastructure.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports on network health, alerts, and incident trends.
- Assist in capacity planning and performance monitoring activities.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and security policies.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching concepts.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, etc.).
- Experience with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, etc.).
- Basic understanding of:
- Firewalls, Load balancers, WAN technologies, VPN connectivity
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows server monitoring is an advantage.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work in a 24×7 shift environment.
- Ability to handle multiple alerts and incidents simultaneously.
- Strong team collaboration and coordination skills.
- Additional Requirements

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or Related field.
Certifications
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Any additional networking or monitoring certifications will be considered an advantage.
