UIUX Graphic Design Intern

NKDHS is seeking a UIUX Graphics Design Intern to assist with designing software-based experiences and platforms that meet healthcare customer needs. You will combine interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAIN DUTIES Contribute toward design concepts and documentation for functional prototypes and UI elements Contribute toward UI/UX deliverables, which may include interaction models, task flows, personas, wireframes, site maps and user/functional requirements that are relevant to product specifications Assist in user research and testing, research-related services, theories, and methods to support best-practice Participate in intern activities and complete assigned intern project, prepare material, and present findings to Executive, Leadership, and management. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION /EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Currently enrolled in a bachelor痴 degree in human-computer interaction, graphics design, communications or related discipline In order to be considered for this position, applicants must provide a portfolio link with examples of web projects and/or UI/UX designs. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment Intermediate knowledge of graphic design, web development, and digital communications. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop Familiar with SVGs and Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch or Figma Knowledge of UI/UX Design Familiar with interaction design on various platforms (e.g., native mobile, web, etc.) Familiar with Information Architecture concepts Familiar with programming languages helpful, e.g.: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and/or Python Takes initiative when problem-solving and is not afraid to ask questions.
