About the Role
KYN is building the operating layer for city experiences — from concerts and workshops to nightlife and micro-communities (“tribes”). We are now launching a dedicated Nightlife Category to work with leading restobars and venues to drive events, table bookings, loyalty programs, and repeat footfall.
This role is for someone who can build a business vertical from scratch — not just manage events. You will own partnerships, monetization, and P&L for a cluster of venues.
Think of this as running a mini-startup inside KYN.
🎯 What You Will Own
You will launch and scale KYN’s nightlife business across partner restobars.
1️⃣ Venue Partnerships
- Identify and onboard 5+ restobars in Phase 1
- Structure commercial agreements with venues
- Understand venue economics (alcohol revenue, table spends, footfall patterns)
2️⃣ Event Monetization Models
Execute multiple ways of working with venues:
- KYN Marquee Events (New Year’s, Valentine’s, themed nights, etc.)
- 3rd Party Events (external promoters using KYN ticketing & marketing)
- Restobar-funded Events (events run using venue marketing budgets)
- Table booking offers & discounts
- Loyalty / Subscription / Tribe-based engagement via KYN App
3️⃣ Revenue & P&L Ownership
You will be responsible for:
- Ticketing commissions
- Event organizing fees
- Table booking revenues
- SaaS / loyalty / customer insights fees
You will track:
- Event performance
- Venue-wise revenue
- Marketing spends
- Break-even and profitability
4️⃣ Execution & Operations
- Coordinate with promoters, DJs, artists, and event partners
- Ensure events go live smoothly on-ground
- Manage event calendar across venues
- Work with marketing team on promotions
5️⃣ Retention & Community Building
- Build repeat audience pools (“tribes”)
- Use data from events and bookings to improve footfall
- Launch loyalty/subscription concepts with venues
🧠 Who This Role Is For
This role is not for someone looking to “work in events.”
It is for someone who thinks like:
- A business owner
- A category manager
- A partnerships operator
- A revenue builder
✅ You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have 2–5 years experience in nightlife, events, venue management, or partnerships
- Understand how restobars make money (tables, covers, alcohol margins)
- Are comfortable negotiating with venue owners and promoters
- Can work nights and weekends when required
- Are strong with numbers and P&L thinking
- Are highly execution-focused and street-smart
- Can manage multiple venues at once
📊 What Success Looks Like (First 3–6 Months)
- 5+ restobar partnerships activated
- Regular ticketed events running across venues
- Table booking pipeline live
- At least one marquee KYN-led nightlife event executed
- Clear revenue dashboard for the category
- Loyalty / repeat audience systems started
🚀 What You’ll Learn
- How to build a category from zero
- Venue economics & nightlife business mechanics
- Multi-stream monetization models
- Community-led retention in nightlife
- Running P&L inside a fast-growing platform
💰 Compensation
- Fixed salary
- Performance incentives linked to revenue
- Opportunity to grow into City Nightlife Head
🧪 Selection Process
Candidates will be asked to complete a practical assignment:
- Build a 60-day plan to onboard 5 restobars and activate revenue
- Create a sample P&L model for the category
- List 2 nightlife events on the KYN platform
