About the role

The NFL Players Association is looking for a Membership Services Coordinator to join our Player Affairs team. An ideal Membership Services Coordinator applicant should be a team player that is self-motivated, passionate, and creative.

This position will coordinate and assist in the development of programs for former players in the Player Affairs Department. It will be very important for this person to have a strong customer service background and excellent organization, and time management skills. It is preferred that candidates are proficient in Canva and have a scheduling background in social media. A marketing and social media background is a plus. A passion for serving and a commitment to the organization’s mission and values are key elements to the success of this position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Provides world-class service and support to former player membership; responds to member inquiries in timely manner and with utmost professionalism.
  • Coordinates marketing of membership programs through use of website, social media and e-newsletters; ensures program information is updated in all external communication channels.
  • Coordinates programs as assigned, including the planning, content creation, and scheduling of the department social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the Former Player App), former player newsletter, and cross-platform outreach.
  • Maintains strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to provide valuable offers to membership and accurate reporting to department leadership.
  • Uses data analytics to measure programmatic success and provides quarterly reports.
  • Participates in recruitment, retention, and data-integrity projects.
  • Assists with membership engagement events as needed.
  • Maintains working knowledge of social media best practices (Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, etc.).
  • Stays well-informed about all former player services provided, other associations and partner companies, their activities, and their members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is non-exempt and is represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), Local 2 and is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between the NFLPA and OPEIU, Local 2. As a union member, you will enjoy certain negotiated benefits such as student loan assistance and will be required to pay union dues as outlined in the agreement.

The starting salary for this position is $58,000 annually. Additionally, the NFLPA offers a comprehensive benefit package, a fun, learning culture, and flexible work environment. Full-time employees are required to work in the office a minimum of three days a week.
