About Us: At nFerence Labs, the "Google of Biomedicine" (See also nference.ai/news for more information on our research work especially pertaining to Covid19), we are building the world's first massive-scale platform for pharmaco-biomedical computing. Our platform is premised on using AI/Deep Learning (on clinical text, medical images, and other signals) and massive high-performance computing to help pharma companies perform faster and more efficient drug discovery, and also help early diagnosis of several key diseases. We collaborate heavily with premier medical institutions such as the Mayo Clinic and build systems to get deep medical insights from patient information including patient notes and lab information, medical images, ECGs, etc. We are a well-funded company and are looking to grow on all fronts. We have massive amount of clinical text data in the form of unstructured and structured patient notes (As a company, we are working on various modalities, you can check the details here). In our team, we are working on some cutting edge tech making use of Generative AI in solving some complex healthcare problems using clinical data currently mainly using text (but plan to expand to other modalities too). Currently, we are strongly leveraging recent developments especially in LLMs and Text Embedding Models to extract answers of some very complex patient questions pretty efficiently from massive amount of patient notes. You will be responsible for, - Understanding, maintaining and innovating the end to end system we already have in place. - Staying up to date with the recent technological developments in NLP in general and especially in Generative AI and adopting it to keep improving system's performance and capability. This can involve continuous up-gradation of models, improved framework to serve, updating the fundamental way of extracting information etc. If this excites you and - Have a great experience with writing industry scale code (any experience with implementing Design Patterns is a plus) - Have experience with building and deployment of services. Experience with any containerization tool is a plus. - Understand fundamentals of Linear Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Optimization and Numerical Math. - Have mathematical understanding of classical machine learning and popular deep learning architectures preferably in NLP/Vision but not limited to. - Great industry level hands on or a research project experience with deep learning architectures. - Have mathematical understanding and hands on experience with current Generative AI technologies in NLP/Vision especially LLMs is strongly preferred. - Continuously learning and staying on track with recent research in deep learning Preferred Candidates - Bachelors in one of Math/Stat/Physics/Computer Science/(Engineering with good Quantitative Background) - A Masters or M Tech in one of Math/Stat/Computer Science is a plus. - Academic Research Experience or any impressive kaggle competition track record is a great plus.
