About us
Variance Technologies Private Limited builds and runs a live SaaS platform at variancetechnologies.co.uk. Our product is stable and in production — we're now expanding the team to ship the next wave of features.
The role
You'll join us to build new features on an existing, working Next.js codebase. This is hands-on product development, not maintenance: you'll own features end to end, from database schema to shipped UI.
Work mode
This role is remote to start. Our office is in Vadodara, Gujarat, and we may ask you to move to on-site or hybrid work from Vadodara later. Please apply only if you're based in Vadodara or open to relocating there if required.
What you'll do
- Design and build new features in our Next.js application (App Router, SSR/ISR, API routes/server actions)
- Write and optimise PostgreSQL schemas and queries
- Build clean, responsive interfaces and integrate them with backend services
- Work with the existing codebase — read it, understand it, extend it without breaking what already works
- Collaborate on scoping, code reviews, testing, and deployment
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on production experience with Next.js and React
- 2+ years working with PostgreSQL (schema design, joins, indexing, query performance)
- Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
- Experience with authentication, REST/API integration, and Git-based workflows
- Prior work on a SaaS product is strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently on a live codebase
Compensation
- ₹60,000 in-hand per month after confirmation
- 1-month paid internship/probation period at ₹30,000, after which you move to the full salary
