About the role

We are hiring a VOIP Application Engineer who will design, implement, and maintain VOIP systems that ensure top performance and reliability. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to develop voice-centric features and services. Key Responsibilities VOIP Application Design: Develop and maintain scalable and reliable VOIP apps System Integration: Ensure seamless communication with internal/external systems Troubleshooting: Handle VOIP failures, call quality issues, application errors Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and ops teams Testing: Validate VOIP features and ensure quality prior to deployment Documentation: Maintain system architecture, integration, and troubleshooting guides Optimization: Monitor and enhance VOIP app performance and scalability Security: Ensure compliance and secure application design Support: Guide internal and external teams with VOIP solutions Innovation: Stay current with emerging VOIP tech and trends Required Qualifications 2–5 years hands-on experience in VOIP application engineering Strong knowledge of VOIP protocols: SIP, RTP, WebRTC Experience with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Kamailio Familiar with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure Programming: Python, Java, or JavaScript Databases: SQL and NoSQL Strong problem-solving and communication skills Understanding of networking, firewalls, NAT, QoS Customer-oriented mindset with team collaboration Preferred Qualifications Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines Exposure to BroadSoft or BroadWorks Familiarity with SIP trunks, media gateways, IVR systems Knowledge of voice metrics: MOS, jitter, latency Understanding of web communication protocols and WebRTC
