Job Summary

Next Unicorn is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team and help deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. This role involves leading the quality assurance lifecycle from conception to deployment, focusing on both front-end and back-end testing using manual and automated methods.

 Prior experience working within Agile methodologies is preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of test strategies across multiple data-intensive and analytics applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test frameworks and automation solutions.
  • Perform detailed analysis of requirements to create thorough test plans and test cases.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using Playwright.
  • Maintain and scale automation frameworks to support ongoing development.
  • Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
  • Log and track defects efficiently using JIRA.
  • Document automation processes, test cases, and workflows in Confluence.
  • Analyze test results and continuously improve test coverage and reliability.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Professional experience in software quality assurance and automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency with Playwright for test automation.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Groovy or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a systematic approach to testing.
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead testing efforts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments is a plus.
