Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Journalism Intern at NewstapBangla, based in the Greater Kolkata Area with flexibility for some remote work. The Journalism Intern will be responsible for tasks like creating press releases, communicating effectively, writing news articles, conducting research, and engaging in news writing practices.

Qualifications

• News Writing and Press Releases skills
• Strong Communication skills
• Proficient in Writing and Research
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Interest in journalism, current affairs, and news reporting
• Knowledge of the Bengali language is a plus
• Enrolled in or completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Researching and writing news articles on current affairs
• Assisting with editing and fact-checking content
• Conducting interviews and gathering information
• Contributing to digital media strategies, including social media engagement
• Collaborating with the editorial team on various projects

Requirements:

• Must be a student currently enrolled in a journalism or related program
• Strong writing, communication, and research skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Passion for news and current events
• Familiarity with digital media platforms is a plus
