About the Role:

We’re looking for a Corporate Development Analyst to support Newbury Franklin Industrials in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of new investments as well as assisting the CFO with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) including financial reporting, business analysis, and financial forecasting. Reporting directly to the CFO and working in partnership with the Sponsor Newbury Franklin, this is a unique opportunity to elevate your career with visibility and mentorship from senior leaders and direct involvement in strategic, company-wide decisions.

Duties/Responsibilities: 2) Support deal execution for add-on acquisitions 3) Support CFO in Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Conduct financial analysis to support investment process
  • Build detailed 3-statement financial models to assess investment opportunities including pro-forma analysis of acquisition candidates
  • Analyze company financial statements, performance metrics, and investment metrics to drive quantitative due diligence and inform valuation
  • Incorporate business due diligence findings and assumptions accurately and reasonably into the financial analysis
  • Coordinate deal process including coordination of functional due diligence conducted by NFI’s functional executives, 3rd party due diligence (e.g. QoE, legal, tax, etc), and management of data room
  • Participate in management meetings, site visits, expert calls, etc.
  • Synthesize results of quantitative and qualitative business diligence into Investment Memos for presentation to NFI’s board.
  • Prepare Letters of Intent (LOI) as required
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial reporting including 3-statements and analysis of financial covenants. Own the master model and support the roll-up consolidation of financials from all subsidiaries as part of month-end close.
  • Assist in preparation of analysis and forecasting for communication with NFI’s board, investors, and creditors. Prepare Board Meeting materials as needed by CFO.
  • Assist in financial budgeting and forecasting including a comparison and analysis of performance vs. budget and forecasting future periods.
  • Assist as needed in conducting financial analysis to drive business intelligence and decision making


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, private credit, or as a financial analyst is preferred
  • A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel including 3-statement financial modelling
  • Excellent financial and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and financial statement reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent administrative, management, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience is required.
