Data Engineer (ETL, Python)

***immediate need, manager said he wants to select candidates to interview as soon as tomorrow*** Job Title: Data Engineer Location: NYC, NY hybrid (Candidates must be local) Glider test required Long term, Multi-year contract Job Description Details: Need a hardcore, heavy-hitting Data Engineer who is extremely skilled and able to function independently and manage their deliverables. Capable of writing ETL pipelines using Python from scratch. Expert in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and concepts. Able to independently write efficient and reusable code for ETL pipelines. Expertise with modeling concepts such as schemas and entity relationships. Expert at analyzing and developing queries in SQL across various dialects (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle). Familiar with Airflow and understands how to develop DAGs. Expertise in data warehouses like BigQuery, Databricks Delta Lakehouse, and how to programmatically ingest, cleanse, govern, and report data from them. Familiarity with Spark is a plus. Willing to learn new cloud-based business apps and tools. Prior knowledge of IBM Apptio is a plus.
