The ACT Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments; assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist or psychiatric APRN; providing a range of treatment, and support services. The ACT Registered Nurse is a positive team player that promotes a culture of inclusion and participation.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree in Nursing
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation, and proof of current auto insurance
Preferred Education and Experience
Qualifications desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- One year providing treatment to individuals diagnosed with serious/persistent mental illness
Essential Functions

- Attend daily collaborative team meetings
- Care coordination for scheduling of clients’ medical appointments
- Track and administer clients scheduled long-acting injections
- Work with agency pharmacy for clients’ medication refills and delivery
- Provide ACT clients with medication education and disease process education
- Conduct weekly medication management groups
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours crisis calls
