Job Summary
The Design Engineer – Wiring Harness will be responsible for design, development, and
documentation of automotive wiring harnesses. The role involves preparing drawings,
BOMs, ECN implementation, component selection, and supporting quality and NPD
activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare wiring harness designs and schematics using AutoCAD
- Create BOM, master drawings, assembly drawings, joint & cutting charts
- Study customer drawings, samples, and specifications
- Implement ECN changes from customers and suppliers
- Select appropriate connectors, terminals, cables, fuses, sleeves, and accessories
- Support PPAP, APQP, DFMEA documentation
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers
- Assist in VAVE and cost optimization activities
- Maintain design and engineering documentation
- Support customer queries during development and SOP stages

- Basic APQP / PPAP / DFMEA understanding
- Good communication & coordination skills
