New Product Development (NPD) Executive

- Salary Range: ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Role Overview
The NPD Executive will manage the end-to-end new product development lifecycle for Suroskie. This role blends market insight, product creation, cost control, and cross-functional coordination. The objective is to convert trends and market gaps into commercially viable, on-brand products delivered on time and within defined budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Trend Identification
• Conduct market research across offline and online channels.
• Track category trends, ingredients, textures, finishes, and price points.
• Monitor competitor launches, claims, shades, and packaging.
• Identify consumer needs and whitespace opportunities.
• Prepare market insight reports.
Product Conceptualization & Development
• Develop product concepts aligned with brand positioning.
• Create detailed product briefs.
• Coordinate with manufacturers on feasibility, MOQ, and costing.
• Manage sampling and final approvals.
Shade Development & Verification
• Lead shade development and benchmarking.
• Coordinate approvals at lab, pilot, and bulk stages.
• Ensure shade consistency and stability.
Packaging Development & Oversight
• Coordinate primary and secondary packaging.
• Evaluate materials, components, and printing.
• Approve artwork and production samples.
Budgeting, Costing & Commercial Viability
• Work on product costing and margins.
• Monitor cost changes and optimize.
Forecasting & Launch Planning
• Support forecasting and launch timelines.
• Track critical paths.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Act as link between brand, manufacturers, and supply chain.
• Ensure smooth production handover.
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain NPD documentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong cosmetic product development knowledge.
• Experience with manufacturers.
• Detail-oriented and commercially aware.
• 2–5 years NPD experience in cosmetics or personal care.
• End-to-end launch exposure preferred.
