Responsibilities :
- Lead the complete New Product Development (NPD) process from concept to sample approval, including customer coordination, help in formulation design, laboratory trials, prototype development, validation, customer submission, and final approval.
- Develop new products based on customer requirements, market trends, and business needs while ensuring feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Review technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation in coordination with the design team
- Coordinate closely with production, quality, procurement, and sales teams to ensure manufacturability, timely trials, and successful product implementation.
- Conduct product testing, validation, and trials, ensuring rubber compounds with the help of compd engr meet required technical specifications and standards.
- Liaise with external / third-party testing laboratories for testing coordination, technical clarification, and validation completion if xustomer has asked for
- Manage project timelines, monitor milestones, and drive continuous improvement in products and processes.
- Maintain systematic documentation for all NPD projects and support internal and third-party audits ensuring compliance with quality management systems.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Understanding of rubber, polymer, or mechanical product design preferred.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Polymer, or related engineering field.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in new product development, preferably in rubber/plastic/engineering industries.
