Build What Matters Most—Families, Futures, and Your Career
Luminary Life Sciences (NextGen Genetics) is illuminating the path to parenthood for individuals and families by pioneering a comprehensive suite of life science services tailored to meet the specialized needs of patients throughout every step of the reproductive health journey. Our vision is to empower patients and health care professionals by offering innovative, customer-centered solutions that provide support from pre-conception to post-birth.
Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Clinical Science Liaison to join our team at Luminary Life Sciences in San Jose, California.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time
- Compensation: $150,000 to $160,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.
How You’ll Contribute
In this role, the Clinical Science Liaison will:
- Serve as the primary clinical and scientific contact for assigned IVF clinic accounts, maintaining regular communication with clinic leadership, coordinators, embryologists, and medical staff
- Conduct onsite visits (~30% travel) to build relationships, assess satisfaction, and identify support needs at clinic sites
- Triage clinical questions and coordinate resolution with Luminary Genetics lab teams, ensuring timely and clear communication back to clients
- Monitor account health and proactively identify at-risk accounts before issues escalate
- Develop and deliver tailored educational sessions on PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR, and emerging testing modalities to clinic staff at all levels
- Train clinic coordinators and nurses on case submission workflows, result interpretation basics, and escalation protocols
- Translate complex genetic findings, such as mosaicism, structural variants, and monogenic disease, into language appropriate for the clinical audience
- Create educational collateral (slide decks, quick-reference guides, FAQs) in partnership with the marketing and lab teams
- Participate in outreach to prospective clinic partners, serving as a scientific credibility anchor during introductory meetings and presentations
- Support contract renewals and product conversations by articulating clinical value, turnaround time performance, and service differentiation
- Cultivate relationships and provide education for key opinion leaders
- Gather competitive intelligence in the field and relay insights to commercial leadership
- Represent Luminary Genetics at industry conferences, reproductive medicine symposia, and ASRM/PGDIS events as needed
- Provide clinical liaison support for sperm bank and egg bank accounts when assigned, applying genetics expertise to donor gamete and surrogacy program inquiries
- Serve as the voice of the client internally — surfacing recurring pain points, workflow gaps, and product feedback to operations and lab leadership
- Collaborate with the billing and logistics teams to resolve account-specific issues that require clinical context
- Contribute to quarterly business reviews and account planning for key clinic partners

We’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.
Qualifications and Skills Include:
- Active certification as a Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) through ABGC, or equivalent advanced training in genetics, reproductive science, or embryology
