Role Description The Neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions related to the brain, spine, and peripheral nervous system. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, performing neurosurgical and spine surgeries, managing inpatient care, and coordinating with neurology, anesthesiology, radiology, and critical care teams. The role involves interpreting imaging and diagnostic studies, developing treatment plans, participating in emergency coverage for neurotrauma, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The Neurosurgeon will also contribute to case discussions, clinical documentation, and patient and family education. This is a full-time, on-site role based at MGM Hospital in Katni.
Qualifications
- Specialized clinical and surgical expertise in Neurosurgery and Neurology, with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of neurosurgical conditions.
- Advanced proficiency in Spine and Spine Surgery, including both elective and emergency procedures.
- Strong foundation in general Medicine relevant to preoperative assessment, postoperative management, and multidisciplinary care.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery (MCh / DNB or equivalent) with appropriate licensing and registration.
- Experience in managing neurotrauma, critical neurosurgical cases, and complex spine pathologies in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with clear clinical communication and sound decision-making skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and continuous professional development.
- Prior experience in a similar role in a tertiary care or multispecialty hospital is preferred.
