Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Neurologist role based at Amara Hospital in Tirupati. The Neurologist will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for individuals with neurological conditions, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical evaluations, interpreting diagnostic tests such as EEGs, prescribing appropriate therapies, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams. The role also involves participation in case discussions, contributing to clinical protocols, educating patients and families, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Neurologist may also engage in teaching activities for medical staff and trainees, aligned with the hospital’s commitment to education and professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine, with completed residency or equivalent training in Internal Medicine or related discipline.
- Advanced clinical expertise in Neurology, including assessment and management of a broad range of neurological disorders.
- Specialized skills in Epilepsy care, including seizure diagnosis, treatment optimization, and long-term patient management.
- Competence in evaluating and treating Movement Disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and other extrapyramidal conditions.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting EEG and related neurophysiological studies.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with DM/DNB or equivalent specialization in Neurology; valid medical license/registration as per regulatory requirements.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered, compassionate approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, contribute to clinical teaching, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
- Prior experience in tertiary care or teaching hospitals is an advantage; familiarity with evidence-based practice and continuous professional development is desirable.
