Education Requirements:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field.
Publication in relevant scientific journals.
Prior experience in a research and development (R&D) setting.
Familiarity with Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) protocols in the biotechnology industry.
Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Fluorescence Microscopes, Flow Cytometers, and Spectrometers.
- Hands-on experience with various immunoassay techniques and hands on Experience with LFA kits.
- Design, develop, and optimize ion-selective electrodes (ISE)-based biosensors.
- Conduct electrochemical measurements and analyze sensor performance.
- Integrate biosensor components with microfluidic or electronic systems for real-time applications.
- Develop and validate sensor calibration protocols and data processing algorithms.
- Conduct material characterization and surface modification techniques for enhanced selectivity and sensitivity.
- Experience in the manufacturing and quality control of biotechnology kits.
- Strong understanding of standard laboratory practices and safety protocols.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with cross-functional departments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimise protocols for the manufacturing of biotechnological reagents and kits.
- Operate and maintain specialised laboratory equipment including HPLC, Fluorescence Microscopes, Flow Cytometers, and Spectrometers.
- Conduct and oversee immunoassays and other biological testing procedures.
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance standards are met in the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance research and development projects.
- Document experimental procedures and results in a detailed and organised manner.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in biotechnology and bioengineering.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff and technicians.
- In-depth understanding of medical device technology and in-vitro diagnostic kits
- Manage projects related to the development and improvement of biotechnological processes and products.
- Document and report research findings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
