Role: Network Wireless Engineer

Immediate to 15 days joiners preferred
Candidate should be willing to start working in C2H model, then move to direct payroll after BGV clearance and available for virtual interview on 9th July 2026.
Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
1. Hands-on experience with the configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of
a. Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Access Points (APs).
b. Cisco Prime Infrastructure / DNA Center
c. Cisco ISE, RADIUS/AAA, 802.1X authentication
2. Good understanding of:
a. Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
b. RF fundamentals, modulation, interference, roaming
c. Wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, EAP types)
d. Site survey tools like Ekahau, AirMagnet.
3. Handle L2 wireless incidents, service requests, and user connectivity issues.
4. Troubleshoot access point (AP) registration, client association, roaming, and authentication problems.
5. Perform basic configuration changes on Cisco WLCs (AireOS / 9800 series) under guidance.
6. Monitor wireless performance, alarms, and AP/WLC health through tools like Prime/DNAC.
7. Assist with RF checks, channel/power adjustments, and coverage validations.
8. Support onboarding of new APs, SSID updates, and floor map changes.
9. Document resolutions, update SOPs, and provide inputs for knowledge base articles.
10. Work closely with L3 teams for escalations and deeper RCA.
11. Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts.
Good-To-Have
1. Good Knowledge & Hands on experience on Cisco WLCs.
2. Familiarity with DNAC, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, and basic spectrum analysis.
3. Understanding of VLANs, routing basics, and network troubleshooting tools.
4. ITIL Certification.
5. Technical Certifications such as Cisco CCNA Wireless.
6. Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Good communication and documentation skills.
SN Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role
- Handle L2 wireless incidents, service requests, and user connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot access point (AP) registration, client association, roaming, and authentication problems.
- Perform basic configuration changes on Cisco WLCs (AireOS / 9800 series) under guidance.
- Work with security teams for 802.1X, ISE, and wireless authentication issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term fixes.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and provide guidance to L1/L2 teams.
- Coordinate with vendors (Cisco TAC) for advanced support.
