Job Role:
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with hands-on experience in enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and core networking technologies. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting secure network environments, monitoring and troubleshooting security issues, and collaborating with SOC and network teams to ensure reliable and secure LAN and WAN operations.
Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and support enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA, etc.)
· Design, implement, and maintain firewall security policies, NAT rules, and access controls
· Implement, manage, and troubleshoot Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs (IPSec, SSL VPN)
· Monitor firewall logs, traffic flows, and respond to security alerts
· Perform firewall rule reviews, optimization, and compliance checks
· Handle firewall upgrades, patching, backups, and hardening activities
· Troubleshoot network security incidents and coordinate with SOC teams
· Configure and support routing and switching components (routers, L2/L3 switches)
· Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues and routing problems
· Work with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP (basic to intermediate level)
· Support VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and network access control
Skills and Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
•3+ years of experience in Firewall, VPN, and Network Security
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Must Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with firewall platforms and VPN technologies
- Good understanding of routing and switching concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with NAT, ACLs, IPS/IDS, and threat prevention features
- Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end network and security issues
- Familiarity with log analysis and monitoring tools
