About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, maintain, and troubleshoot core routing, switching, data center fabrics, and enterprise firewalls. You will also leverage network automation tools like Python and Ansible to streamline infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
- Firewall & Security Management: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Juniper SRX and Checkpoint firewalls. Perform deep packet capture analysis using Wireshark and manage IPS/IDS policies.
- Routing & Switching Operations: Manage complex network fabrics utilizing BGP, OSPF, VPNs, STP, and VXLAN architectures.
- Network Automation: Develop and deploy automation scripts and playbooks using Python and Ansible for operational efficiency and rapid issue resolution.
- Incident & Problem Management: Provide high-tier support for critical P1/P2 network and security incidents in accordance with ITIL best practices and SLA commitments.
- Documentation & Topologies: Maintain detailed network documentation, architectural diagrams, and runbooks following industry standards.
Required Technical Skills
- Firewalls: Extensive hands-on experience with Juniper SRX and Checkpoint firewalls.
- Core Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, STP, VPNs (IPSec/SSL).
- Automation: Practical experience with Python scripting and Ansible.
- Analysis & Operations: Wireshark packet analysis, IPS/IDS, ITIL processes, and Incident/Change management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Good to Have
Cloud Connectivity: Experience configuring Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute (Private/Public peering) and Office 365 network setups.
