In this role, you have the opportunity to
● Own and scale one of the largest and most strategic markets (South & East India) for BharatPe
● Drive merchant network growth, monetization, and retention at scale across multiple product lines (Loans, Swipe, Speakers, etc.)
● Act as a strategic bridge between central leadership and on-ground execution teams
● Lead and influence a large, high-performing, multi-layered sales organization
● Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Lending, Devices, Marketing, Operations) to shape market-
first solutions
● Build and scale distribution across 200+ cities with significant untapped potential
● Drive sustainable and profitable growth in a highly competitive fintech landscape
Responsibilities will include
Functional Expertise:
● Deliver AOP targets across merchant acquisition, lending, devices (Swipe & Speakers), and transaction metrics
● Drive top-line growth, product penetration, and merchant monetization across South & East
● Translate central GTM strategy into region-specific execution plans
● Identify and unlock new growth opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels
● Drive merchant engagement, stickiness, cross-sell adoption and lifetime value of merchants across the network
● Ensure strong demand planning and supply alignment (especially for devices)
● Ensure optimal team structure, hiring, and capability building across regions
● Establish strong review mechanisms, governance, and execution discipline
● Standardize best practices and drive consistency across geographies
Problem Solving
● Leverage data, market insights, and competition analysis to refine strategy and execution
● Identify gaps in merchant experience, product adoption, and sales productivity
● Drive continuous improvement in processes, conversion funnels, and ROI
Interaction
● Collaborate closely with Operations, Lending, Devices, Marketing, Product, and Data Science teams
● Act as the voice of the market, influencing product and process innovation
● Build strong relationships with key merchants, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders

Qualification & Experience (type
& industry)
● MBA a tier 1/2 institute
● 12+ years of Sales experience
● Expert at Sales & Distribution
● Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-region sales teams
● Experience in Fintech, Telecom, Consumer tech, FMCG and Ecommerce are
preferred.
● Startup experience is highly valued but not necessary
Skills & know-how
● Strong expertise in Sales Strategy, Distribution, and Network Scaling
● Deep understanding of fintech ecosystem and merchant-led business models in
India
● Data-driven decision making with strong analytical orientation
● Proficient in excel and powerpoint skills to be able to analyze information and
provide key guidance
● Ability to drive multi-product sales and cross-sell at scale
