The Role:
As a Python/Django Developer, you will be instrumental in enhancing, maintaining, and expanding our Network Operations Portal. You will work on a full-stack application built with Python and Django, focusing on both front-end (Tailwind CSS) and back-end development. Your responsibilities will include developing new features, integrating with various network technologies, ensuring the portal's stability and performance, and managing its deployment in AWS.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain features for our Python/Django-based Network Operations Portal.
- Implement and interact with REST APIs for data exchange and system integration.
- Work with network protocols such as SNMP to gather and present network device data.
- Develop user interfaces using modern web technologies and Tailwind CSS.
- Manage the deployment, scaling, and operational aspects of the application within AWS.
- Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
What Experience You Need

- Strong proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with specific experience using Tailwind CSS.
- Proven experience with AWS services, particularly for deploying and managing web applications (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, etc.).
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
What could set you apart
- Experience with network management protocols like SNMP, NetFlow, or other network monitoring tools.
- Previous background or strong interest in network infrastructure, operations, or engineering.
- Experience with other relevant technologies such as Celery, Redis, or Docker.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
