As an Operations Center Technician (NOC II) at Greystar, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving the health, performance, and security of our network and server infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring stable operations, proactive issue detection, accurate documentation, and timely incident resolution in a 24x7 operational environment.

This role is ideal for candidates who demonstrate ownership, analytical thinking, and operational maturity, and who are ready to take on higher responsibility within the NOC function.
The key responsibilities of this role are –
- Network and Server Monitoring: Continuously monitor network and server performance, using advanced network management and server administration tools to identify issues proactively.
- Incident Detection and Response: Detect and analyse network and server anomalies, security threats, and performance bottlenecks. Initiate incident response procedures and coordinate with relevant teams for swift resolution.
- Server Administration: Perform server administration tasks, including server provisioning, configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve network and server-related issues, escalate complex problems to higher-level teams, and maintain detailed incident documentation.
- Network and Server Maintenance: Execute routine network and server maintenance activities, such as equipment upgrades, software updates, and server hardware maintenance during maintenance windows.
- 24/7 Support: Participate in rotating shifts to provide 24/7 monitoring and support.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network and server documentation, including network diagrams, server configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security analysts, to address complex network and server challenges.
- Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for network and server optimization, make recommendations for improvements, and implement changes as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure that network and server configurations and activities comply with industry regulations and security standards.
- Training: Stay current with the latest networking and server technologies, trends, and security threats through continuous learning and training.
In addition, the candidate must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a network operations center with a strong focus on server administration for a minimum period of five years.
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP) and server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and server administration tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule.
- Candidate should be proficient with Service Now (ticketing system).
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent, are a plus.
