Role: Network L2 Operations Support - Palo Alto fire wall
Location: Pan India
Job Type: Contract
Responsibilities
• Provide Level 2 support for network security incidents and service requests.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS).
• Manage security policies, NAT rules, security zones, and VPN configurations.
• Monitor firewall logs and security alerts using Panorama or monitoring tools.
• Perform rule analysis, optimization, and clean-up activities.
• Handle incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.
• Support firewall upgrades, patches, and firmware updates.
• Troubleshoot IPSec VPN, GlobalProtect VPN, and site-to-site connectivity issues.
• Work with SOC, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve network-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and audit requirements.
• Document configurations, changes, and SOPs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• 3–6 years of experience in Network Security Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience with:
o Security Policies & NAT
o IPSec VPN & GlobalProtect
o SSL Decryption
o Threat Prevention & URL Filtering
o Panorama Management
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing & Switching.
• Experience in handling firewall rule requests and change management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem & Change Management).
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Certifications:
• Palo Alto PCNSA / PCNSE
• CCNA / CCNP (Security preferred)
• ITIL Foundation (optional)
