As a network engineer at PwC, you will focus on leading the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure transformations to deliver seamless connectivity and high availability for clients. You will be work on collaborative teams and implementing industry-leading practices for complex, multi-environment networking engagements.
The Opportunity
As part of the CEDA practice, you will support cross-functional engagements with a focus on networking, combining deep technical expertise with strong client advisory skills to deliver transformational outcomes. As a Manager you will supervise and mentor teams, manage client accounts, and facilitate the successful delivery of complex network programs. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your leadership capabilities while working with advanced networking technologies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise network solutions spanning routing and switching, data center, security, and hybrid cloud connectivity domains.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, coaching them to develop technical and client service skills
- Manage client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for networking workstreams and ensuring consistent delivery against expectations
- Develop and present network architecture recommendations, business cases, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels
- Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Maintain adherence to project timelines and quality standards
- Analyze and refine operational processes for effectiveness
Preferred Knowledge Areas:
- Network Design & Architecture
- Design of scalable, resilient enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, data center, and edge environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, RSTP, VxLAN, EVPN).
- Experience with software-defined networking (SDN), intent-based networking, and network virtualization platforms (e.g.,Cisco ACI, VMware NSX).
- Large-scale IP Services design and configruation (e.g., IP Addressing, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- CCNP-level proficiency required; CCIE preferred.
- Network Security
- Deep understanding of network security principles including next-generation firewalls, micro-segmentation, VPNs, and zero-trust network access.
- Experience designing and implementing network security architectures aligned to regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
- Familiarity with identity and access management integration within network security architectures.
- Cloud & Hybrid Networking
- Advanced knowledge of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP including virtual networks, transit architectures, and hybrid connectivity (e.g., ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
- Experience designing and implementing hybrid and multi-cloud network integration patterns for enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with cloud-native security controls and their application within enterprise network designs.
- Network Operations & Resilience
- Experience developing network operations frameworks, runbooks, and monitoring strategies aligned to ITIL best practices.
- Proficiency in network management platforms and monitoring tools; ability to define operational KPIs and reporting frameworks for clients.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning as it relates to network infrastructure.
- Client Service & Advisory Skills
- Proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating client workshops, leading discovery sessions, and translating business requirements into network architecture recommendations.
- Contributing to proposal development, business cases, and client pursuits.
- Agentic AI
- Familiarity with modern AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, copilots, and LLM-based applications) and their practical application in network operations and consulting workflows.
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance team productivity, automate routine tasks, and support analysis.
- Understanding of network automation and programmability solutions (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Cisco NSO) and how they drive client value.
- Understanding of prompt engineering leading practices to effectively interact with large language models.
What You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience as an IT professional in enterprise network engineering or a related discipline
- Active CCNP certification (any track); CCIE strongly preferred
What Sets You Apart
- Certification(s) preferred: CCIE (any track), CCNP Routing & Switching, Security, CCNP Data Center, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, ITIL Foundation or Managing Professional, CISSP, CISA
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Business Administration preferred
- Experience working in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment, leading network transformation engagements
- Familiar with risk management and cyber resilience frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL)
- Proven track record of managing project teams, budgets, and deliverables to successful completion
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a strategic mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to translate complex technical solutions or network performance data into executive-ready presentations
