About The Role
We are looking for a strong Senior Network Engineer with 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should have a strong security-first mindset and be well-versed in modern networking technologies, security best practices, and industry-standard certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and data-center networks.
Manage and troubleshoot routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, VRF, and MPLS.
Configure and manage enterprise firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and other network-security controls.
Apply security-by-design principles across network architecture and infrastructure.
Implement network segmentation, least-privilege access, secure remote access, and zero-trust principles where applicable.
Harden network devices using industry best practices, including secure management protocols, AAA, MFA integration, access controls, logging, and configuration standards.
Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security events; proactively identify and resolve issues.
Lead root-cause analysis for complex network and security incidents.
Maintain network diagrams, configurations, IP addressing documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Participate in vulnerability remediation, security audits, penetration-test findings, and compliance initiatives.
Work closely with Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Application teams to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, disaster-recovery exercises, and infrastructure improvements with minimal downtime.
Implement automation and network-as-code practices where appropriate using tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or APIs.
Establish and maintain backup, change-management, monitoring, and disaster recovery procedures.
Stay current with emerging networking and cybersecurity technologies and recommend improvements to the organization's security posture.
Required Technical Skills Networking
Strong expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, VPN, QoS, SD WAN, and network troubleshooting.
Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VRF, MPLS, and high availability technologies.
Experience with enterprise Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent technologies.
Strong understanding of wireless networking and enterprise WLAN architectures.
Experience with network monitoring and management platforms. Network Security
Strong understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, SIEM integration, DDoS protection, secure VPNs, and network segmentation.
Hands-on experience implementing AAA, RADIUS/TACACS+, MFA, ACLs, certificate-based authentication, and secure device administration.
Knowledge of Zero Trust, least privilege, defense-in-depth, and security hardening.
Familiarity with vulnerability management and security incident response.
Ability to interpret security logs and collaborate with SOC teams during network security incidents.
Cloud & Automation
Experience with networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred
Understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPC/VNet, routing, security groups, private connectivity, load balancing, and hybrid networking. Scripting/automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs is highly desirable. Certifications One or more of the following certifications are strongly preferred:
CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Security
CCIE highly desirable Fortinet NSE/FCP or equivalent
Palo Alto Networks PCNSE or equivalent
Juniper JNCIP/JNCIS
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification
AWS Certified Advanced Networking or equivalent cloud networking certification
Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate Or Equivalent Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
7 10 years of relevant enterprise network engineering experience.
Proven experience handling complex network environments and critical production infrastructure.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to independently lead complex network implementations and incident resolution.
Experience Working In a Structured ITIL/change-management Environment Is Preferred.
