About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our IT team at our Navi Mumbai office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure seamless and secure data flow across all departments. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting our digital initiatives, enhancing network performance, and safeguarding our systems against emerging cyber threats. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly desirable. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or administration, with a solid understanding of network protocols, security practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Network Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of duties to ensure the integrity, security, and performance of our network infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
- Network Design and Implementation: Develop and deploy network architectures aligned with organizational needs, including LANs, WANs, and other network segments. Ensure scalability and future-proofing of network infrastructure.
- Network Device Configuration: Configure, manage, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points to support efficient and secure data transmission.
- Network Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor network performance using advanced tools, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Network Security: Implement security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime, including connectivity problems, outages, and performance issues.
- Network Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for future reference and audits.
- Network Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Network Performance Analysis: Analyze traffic patterns and trends to identify opportunities for capacity planning and performance improvements.
- Network Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and security posture.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, security, and application development to support their networking needs and projects.
