About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dedicated IT team in Coimbatore. This role is vital in maintaining and enhancing the company's network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex network environments, troubleshooting advanced network issues, and implementing automation strategies to optimize network operations. Immediate joiners or those with a notice period of less than 10 days are preferred, as this role requires a quick onboarding to support our 24/7 operational environment. The Senior Network Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring high network availability, security, and scalability to support our growing business needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive hands-on experience as a Senior Network Engineer is essential, with a proven track record of managing large-scale network infrastructures. Knowledge of network automation using tools like Ansible is highly desirable. Candidates should have a deep understanding of core network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF, along with practical experience working with network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or CPNSA are highly preferred, demonstrating professional expertise and commitment to industry standards. Strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the company's network infrastructure to ensure 99% uptime, operating in a 24/7 environment.
- Oversee and troubleshoot LAN, VLAN, Web filtering, IP routing, LACP, Wireless, and WAN networks to maintain optimal performance and security.
- Hands-on management of Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, HP Procurve, and Aruba Wireless devices.
- Assist with knowledge of F5 load balancers, Aruba Wireless IAP/Controller-based Radius integration, and ClearPass for enhanced network security and efficiency.
- Develop, test, and maintain network automation scripts using Ansible to streamline operations and reduce manual interventions.
- Monitor network performance continuously and implement improvements to optimize speed, reliability, and security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, IT operations, and development to ensure network reliability and security compliance.
- Mentor junior network engineers, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to foster team growth.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
