About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team as a resident engineer at our client site in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Aruba and Juniper networking solutions, providing onsite support to ensure optimal network performance and security. This role involves managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices, to maintain high availability and security standards. The successful candidate will work closely with client IT teams and external vendors, acting as a technical expert to resolve complex network issues promptly and efficiently. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with enterprise-level networking equipment and contribute to large-scale network operations, ensuring seamless connectivity and security for our client’s organization.
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or Computer Science Engineering (CSE) from a recognized institute.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in network administration and support, with hands-on experience with Aruba and Juniper networking products.
- Certifications: Valid CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certification is mandatory. Additionally, certifications such as Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP), Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS or higher are required.
Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring & Management: Conduct daily health checks of all network devices, including Aruba switches, wireless controllers, access points, Juniper switches, routers, and security appliances. Monitor network connectivity, performance, logs, and alerts to ensure high uptime and performance.
- Network Configuration & Administration: Configure and reconfigure Aruba and Juniper devices, including VLANs, routing protocols, security settings, and network segmentation. Maintain accurate documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration backups.
- Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents on Aruba and Juniper platforms. Apply firmware and software updates, coordinate hardware repairs, and escalate issues with OEM support when necessary.
- Network Operations & Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive logs, generate performance reports, and provide timely alerts for critical network events. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and data retention policies.
- Backup & Documentation: Regularly backup configurations, update documentation for network changes and incidents, and develop standard operating procedures for network management.
