About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer specializing in high-speed Ethernet technology to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in device driver and firmware development, with a keen understanding of networking protocols and SoC architectures. This role involves designing, developing, and debugging Ethernet-related hardware and software components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in data center and cloud environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system architects, and quality assurance, to deliver innovative networking solutions. Additionally, familiarity with tools such as ethtool, PRBS generators, and debugging techniques for MAC/SerDes interfaces will be essential to succeed in this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Engineer with expertise in high-speed Ethernet technology.
- Hands-on experience in device driver and firmware development and debugging.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, MAC/SerDes interfaces, and SoC architecture.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with network testing tools such as ethtool, PRBS generators, and similar diagnostic utilities.
- Familiarity with cloud/data center environments and networking infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Redfish management protocols is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize device drivers and firmware for high-speed Ethernet devices.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to MAC/SerDes interfaces and network protocols.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define specifications and ensure seamless integration of Ethernet components.
- Perform testing and validation of Ethernet solutions in cloud and data center environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to driver development, debugging procedures, and system configurations.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Ethernet technology, networking standards, and industry best practices.
- Support deployment and operational activities by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
