About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network & Firewall Engineer to join our dynamic team in Thane. This full-time position is designed for professionals with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience who are passionate about designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructures. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the organization’s network security, performance, and reliability. This role involves working in a night shift aligned with US hours, providing an excellent opportunity to be part of a global team and contribute to complex network projects. You will be responsible for managing firewall policies, configuring network devices, establishing secure VPN connections, and troubleshooting network issues to ensure seamless connectivity and high availability across our enterprise environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise network security and infrastructure.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4+ are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and STP.
- Experience with firewall management platforms such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco ASA.
- Strong understanding of VLAN configuration, IP Address Management (IPAM), and VPN technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with familiarity in network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN environments and network security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain scalable and secure enterprise network infrastructure to support organizational needs.
- Implement and manage firewall policies across multiple environments, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Handle VLAN configuration, IP address management, and network segmentation to optimize performance and security.
- Establish and maintain secure VPN connectivity, including Site-to-Site and Client VPN setups, to facilitate remote access and secure communication.
- Monitor network performance continuously, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, and resolve incidents promptly.
- Manage and optimize SD-WAN environments to enhance network agility and reduce latency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, infrastructure, and application teams, to address network-related requirements and projects.
- Ensure all network activities adhere to change management procedures and security protocols to maintain integrity and compliance.
