About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team at Artifact Corporation. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Aruba and Juniper networking solutions and will serve as a resident engineer at our client site in Hyderabad. This role involves managing and maintaining the network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of all network devices and systems. The candidate will be responsible for proactive network monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and support, working closely with the client’s IT team and external vendors. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to deepen their expertise in enterprise-level networking technologies and contribute to large-scale network operations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering from a recognized institution. They must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in network administration and support, with hands-on experience with Aruba and Juniper networking products. Essential certifications include a valid CCNA or equivalent networking certification, along with Aruba certifications such as ACSA, ACMA, or ACMP, or Juniper certifications like JNCIA or JNCIS. Candidates with both Aruba and Juniper certifications will be preferred, demonstrating a well-rounded expertise in multi-vendor network environments.
Responsibilities
Network Monitoring & Management
- Conduct daily health checks of all network devices, including Aruba switches, wireless controllers, access points, and Juniper switches and routers.
- Monitor network connectivity, performance metrics, and system alerts to ensure continuous operation.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime.
- Review network logs regularly to detect anomalies and security threats.
Network Configuration & Administration
- Configure and optimize Aruba switches, wireless controllers, and access points to meet organizational requirements.
- Manage Juniper devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls, ensuring proper configuration and security.
- Implement VLANs, routing protocols, and network segmentation strategies on Aruba and Juniper platforms.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and change management records.
- Perform routine configuration backups and firmware updates to ensure system stability and security.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues involving Aruba and Juniper equipment efficiently.
- Address performance bottlenecks and optimize wireless and wired network segments.
- Investigate security incidents and apply remediation techniques to prevent future vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware repairs, RMA processes, and escalations.
- Apply patches, firmware upgrades, and software updates to maintain network security and functionality.
Network Operations & Maintenance
- Maintain comprehensive logs for all network devices and systems in accordance with compliance standards.
- Ensure secure log retention and proper storage for audit purposes.
- Generate performance reports and provide regular updates to management regarding network health.
- Implement alerting mechanisms for critical network alarms and notify relevant stakeholders promptly.
Backup & Documentation
- Regularly backup device configurations and maintain version-controlled documentation of all network changes.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for network management and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and resolution records to facilitate continuous improvement.
