Technical skills-
Advanced Routing & Switching: OSPF/BGP, MPLS/VRF concepts, Multicast basics, high-availability design and troubleshooting
Enterprise WLAN design/support (controllers, APs, RF basics) – Cisco/Aruba/Meraki or equivalent
Security: Next-Gen Firewalls (policy optimization, VPNs, segmentation) – Palo Alto/Checkpoint preferred
SD-WAN design/implementation/operations (Cisco Viptela/Catalyst SD-WAN/Meraki or similar)
F5 BIG-IP: advanced troubleshooting, traffic management concepts, failover/HA, SSL/cert management
Multi-cloud networking: AWS and Azure connectivity, routing, security constructs and shared services patterns
ITIL process leadership for Major Incident Management (MIM), Problem/RCA, Change and Capacity planning
Automation & observability: scripting (Python), network telemetry, log analysis and reporting
Must-Have (Ideally should not be more than 5-7)
- 8–12 years of experience in network engineering with strong exposure to global enterprise environments.
- Ability to lead and troubleshoot Priority 1–2 incidents end-to-end, including coordination with OEMs/ISPs and internal towers.
- Experience creating high-level/low-level designs, implementation and migration plans, testing plans and operational runbooks.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco switching/routing platforms and enterprise wireless; solid firewall troubleshooting skills.
- Proven capability in validating existing designs and recommending optimizations for performance, resilience and security.
Good-to-Have
- CCNP/CCIE (or equivalent) certification; SD-WAN certifications are a plus.
- ITIL Foundation/Intermediate certification or demonstrable ITIL leadership in operations.
- Experience with network segmentation/Zero Trust approaches and NAC (Cisco ISE or equivalent).
- Experience leading small teams/mentoring L1/L2 and driving continuous improvement/automation.
