Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Network Administrator with over 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing and securing enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of network systems that support core organizational functions.
Job Location: Salt Lake Sector V - Kolkata
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, monitor, maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN and network
- security systems
- Install, configure and support network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and access points
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability and reliability
- Implement and manage network security policies, firewalls, IDS/IPS and VPN solutions
- Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades and patch management
- Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols and network segmentation
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies and best practices
- Document network configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with system administrators, IT support teams
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, QoS, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking technologies
- Proficiency in firewall configuration and network security best practices
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
