Who We Are
The Netflix tvOS team is a small but mighty group responsible for building a seamless discovery and streaming experience for our Apple TV customers. This feature set includes login, discovery, search, playback, and more. We are a group of highly skilled engineers who self-navigate through various problems to deliver complex solutions quickly and with extremely high quality.
We are looking for a talented SDET to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and engineering automation frameworks and authoring and maintaining automated tests. This role needs an unusually responsible individual who will take ownership and pride in the quality of the Netflix app on Apple TV.
Responsibilities:
Own the QA process for the Netflix Apple TV app. Ensure high quality and a seamless experience for our customers.
Work side by side with the tvOS software engineers to understand the product and develop our QA strategy.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Partner with our device labs team to ensure our automation environment is reliable, fast, and efficient.
Collaborate with the larger Netflix testing community to adopt paved path solutions for QA on tvOS.
Use a data driven approach to monitor and improve the health of our automated tests.
Become the expert on how to effectively automate tests on tvOS devices using both physical devices and the simulator.
Requirements:
Proven work experience in UI software quality assurance for tvOS or iOS devices.
Proven work experience in developing frameworks for UI automation tests.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools for Apple devices.
Solid knowledge of Swift. Bonus points for Objective-C.
Deep understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
Extensive knowledge of Xcode.
Experience with device automation labs is a big plus.
