About the role
The Principal Specialist, ISP Interconnection role is responsible for driving strategic partnerships and interconnection initiatives with Internet Service Providers globally. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and ISP partners to identify and implement solutions that optimize network performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency for Netflix's global Internet delivery infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic roadmaps and execute on interconnection initiatives with targeted ISP partners globally
- Negotiate and manage complex commercial interconnection agreements with ISPs
- Drive standardization and automation of interconnection processes
- Analyze network traffic and performance data to identify optimization opportunities
- Serve as a key technical and commercial subject matter expert, collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Network Engineering, Content Delivery, and Commercial Finance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in network operations, engineering, or business development roles
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to understand and analyze network performance data and modeling
- Familiarity with internet peering, content delivery networks, and ISP connectivity best practices
