Financial Systems Engineer About the Role: The Financial Systems Engineering team is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the financial systems that enable Netflix's global business. As a Financial Systems Engineer, you will work closely with both our Finance and Engineering teams to build a world-class financial infrastructure that scales to support Netflix's hyper-growth. This is a critical role that will have a direct impact on Netflix's financial operations and reporting. In this role, you will: - Architect and build innovative financial systems and tools to support Netflix's rapid global expansion - Collaborate with Finance teams to deeply understand their requirements and processes - Serve as a technical expert, translating finance needs into technical solutions - Own the end-to-end delivery of new financial systems, working closely with Engineering, Finance, and IT teams - Provide ongoing support and enhancements to existing financial systems - Mentor and grow a high performing team of financial systems engineers What We're Looking For: - 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on building systems in a cloud-native environment - Familiarity with financial concepts and processes (e.g. accounting, GL, revenue recognition, FP&A) - Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business partners - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Experience mentoring and leading a team a plus - Experience with systems like SAP, Oracle Financials, Coupa, Workday a plus - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum a plus
