About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Web Application Developer to join our dynamic development team at Excelencia. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications using the Microsoft technology stack. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that require a deep understanding of both backend and frontend development, along with database management. The developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives. The position can be based in Chennai or operate in a hybrid model, providing flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a comprehensive skill set aligned with modern software development standards. Key qualifications include extensive hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC 5, WCF, and ASP.NET Web API for creating web services and applications. Proficiency in .NET Framework 4.5+ and .NET Core 2.1+ is essential, along with a strong background in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, and Bootstrap. In addition, candidates should have a solid understanding of Entity Framework 6 for ORM and data access, along with extensive experience working with SQL Server 2016+ for database design, optimization, and performance tuning. A good grasp of software development best practices, design patterns, and debugging techniques is also required. Candidates with experience in version control tools like Git or Azure DevOps, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ASP.NET MVC 5 web applications that align with business requirements. The developer will build and consume SOAP and RESTful services using WCF and ASP.NET Web API, ensuring seamless integration with various systems. Developing robust backend solutions using .NET Framework and .NET Core, while implementing responsive, user-friendly UI components with JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap, is integral to the role. The developer will also be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL Server databases, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performing performance tuning to ensure high efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define new features, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing production support are essential duties. Maintaining application security, performance, and scalability throughout the development lifecycle is a core focus.
