About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer, IT Software to join our esteemed client, American Airlines, at their Hyderabad Tech Hub. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that enhance the airline’s digital infrastructure and improve customer experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating reliable, scalable, and secure software applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical excellence across projects. Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a relevant field and prior experience within the airline or transportation industry. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust software applications supporting core business processes and customer-facing solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to organizational standards and best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables and optimal system performance.
- Perform root cause analysis on system issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions to mitigate future problems.
- Lead the design of self-contained, scalable systems within your domain, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Mentor and coach team members on technical techniques to improve system reliability, security, and performance.
- Decompose complex system designs into manageable components for efficient development and maintenance.
- Instrument systems for observability, ensuring systems are monitored for latency, availability, and security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies, including automated test suites and instrumentation.
- Identify potential security threats and guide teams in implementing best practices to mitigate attack surfaces.
- Prioritize work in small, high-value batches to accelerate delivery and maximize impact.
- Promote code reuse and modular design principles across projects to enhance maintainability and scalability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, introducing innovative approaches to solve technical challenges.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into current projects.
