About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at Jash IT. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability, performance, and reliability of our .NET applications and SQL Server systems. Your primary focus will be to monitor application health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to ensure seamless operation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and QA, to resolve incidents, support data corrections, and implement improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET and SQL Server, with experience in production support environments, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting that requires on-call availability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in .NET development and support roles.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET/.NET Core frameworks, and SQL Server database management.
- Knowledge of React.js for troubleshooting frontend issues.
- Experience in handling production support, incident management, and performing root cause analysis.
- Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Strong debugging skills across APIs, logs, and application/database layers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work US Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours and provide on-call support as needed.
Responsibilities
As a Production Support Engineer at Jash IT, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the health and performance of .NET applications and SQL Server systems to proactively identify issues.
- Troubleshooting and resolving application and database incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conducting root cause analysis for recurring issues and implementing long-term solutions.
- Collaborating with development teams to fix defects, support data corrections, and optimize system performance.
- Debugging APIs, frontend components built with React, and backend services to identify and resolve issues.
- Participating in on-call support rotations, ensuring 24/7 availability for critical incidents.
- Documenting support procedures, incident reports, and system configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Contributing to automation initiatives to streamline support processes and reduce manual interventions.
- Supporting system upgrades, patches, and change management activities following established protocols.
